FORESIGHT CAPABILITY AND MATURITY FOR KNOWLEDGE-INTENSIVE ORGANIZATIONS

ABSTRACT The article develops an institutional maturity perspective for foresight capacity building in knowledge-intensive organizations (KIO), as typically embedded highly demanding dynamics of generation and use knowledge, which is necessary constructing comprehensive visions studying the future. A grid proposed structured five dimensions: people; sophistication methods, platforms, infrastructures; complexity application areas; organizational structure; impact on environment. Described levels gradually progressing capabilities, they constitute evolutionary logic operatively articulated processes, projects, cycles. resulting grid, conceptually constructed consideration other proposals, guides design stabilization systems, forming a basis accumulation learning curves. An case Colombian public KIO provides evidence its usefulness applicability capabilities.
